Methods & Services

Our software solutions enable us to increase production speeds, reduce costs and improve quality in the companies we support. Before we start optimising within your company, we first enter into dialogue with you. Our engineers create a customised plan for each specific situation, with the aim of achieving the desired situation.

It is important to map out the current situation in order to achieve the improved situation. During the inventory phase, we also involve the people who actually do the work. This often provides valuable information ensuring that we are able to offer the best possible advice with respect to your automation solution.

We develop and discuss one or more solution directions during the design phase, taking all requirements and wishes into account. Our expert engineers then develop the automation solution selected by you into a functional design specification (FDS). We only start developing the software once you as the client have approved the FDS.

A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) takes place at the end of the development phase. This often uses simulations to provide a good impression of the software’s actual operation. The software is finally implemented after incorporation of the FAT test results, after which a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) takes place. The schedule for commissioning is always agreed with you as the client in advance, as we understand that this depends on your specific circumstances and the nature of all work processes.

We go further than only providing and implementing targeted solutions. Additional services can also be purchased to ensure that all processes continue to offer optimum performance, including 24/7 availability, online back-up service, regular maintenance and automatic updates of control systems and development environments.

ENGINEERING

Regarding the design of systems, we offer full-service engineering. Your requirements, norms and preconditions always form the starting points for the architecture of a system. Supplemented with our knowledge, insights and experience, this forms the basis for the functional design. The operation and functionalities recorded in this design are the starting points for the further development process. We can also provide full-service and targeted electrotechnical and hardware engineering for your company, guaranteeing the effective transition from this phase to the development phase.

PLC CONTROLLERS

Brainpact has many years’ experience with almost all PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) brands for the control of numerous industrial and logistics processes. Our team of engineers are PLC technology experts and work independent of brands. Of course, we would be delighted to advise you in selecting the correct PLC, but if you have a specific preference for a certain brand, that’s no problem for us.

We develop control software for process controls and machine controls in all kinds of sectors, and customise this to ensure a precise match for your company.

SCADA/HMI APPLICATIONS

Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) solutions form the next logical link to further automate business processes. Graphic overviews of process data, alerts, data logging, trending and all kinds of report functions result in optimisation, effectiveness and efficiency. For each situation and for each issue, our experts develop a solution that is a perfect match for your organisation.

MES SYSTEMS

Good management of the production process is a huge challenge for many companies and is often vital for the business result. Our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems form an important key to success in this. These are a crucial business automation link for many companies. The MES system creates considerably improved insight into the production process, enabling timely control of all kinds of facets. The production environment is linked to the office through ERP and PLC system interfaces. Besides quality improvement and efficiency advantages (fewer inputs), this link enables insight into KPIs as well as improved control of the entire process. The MES system is also extremely valuable for tracking and tracing. Data from production processes and from products can be recorded and accessed at any time via the MES layer of automation. This often offers a perfect means to satisfy increasingly stringent legislation and regulations.
